‘Peaky Blinders : The Rise’ had run in London’s Camden Stables for a number of years. The Production was invited to open a transfer as part of Saudi Arabia’s Riyadh Festival in 2023.

I was invited to Art Direct the transfer of this immersive production & additionally manage the implementation of the Production Design on site.

Due to the majority of the props being original pieces from the filming of the television series, it was decided that none of these items could be transported over to Riyadh. Therefore I had to manage sourcing specialist props in the U.K., larger furniture pieces with the Tarteeb team in Saudi and commissioning makes and specialist printing. A lot of meticulous planning, working at great speed and high levels of communication allowed us to create a little slice of London in the centre of Riyadh!

On site I was faced with the interesting challenge of working in an area where vintage items are in very short supply, the building process working at very different speeds and roles being seen differently. It was a brilliant and unique challenge to bring such a large scale show together. It was brilliantly received by patrons and company alike.
