Designs were based on clothing of the 11th Century, with a strong bird theme which each family or individual representing bird types that matched their characters; for example, the witches were vultures, the Macduffs were Perigrine Falcons and Macbeths were Ravens.

Each of the costumes were hand-made with a focus on texture and detail.
